Bobby Powell - Have A Heart (Whit, 1971)

Bobby was a blind piano player from Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a really wonderful singing voice.  A few posts back I featured his stunning rendition of Hank Williams’ “Your Cheatin’ Heart”.  I’ve fallen in love with this import “Into My Own Thing, The Jewel & Whit Recordings 1966–1971”.  In fact, I’m going to post a few from this comp.  Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.
